[This was a visit long overdue. Diluc had been kept so busy with his business and the sudden increase in his stocks that it kept being put on the back burner. But given the circumstances and what he's learned happens beneath Kaisou's normal surface, he bumped this way up in his to-do list.
Not as though he was putting it off.
While he'd only rather passively known Jane, she was a good woman. And he promised he would see her shop. She'll find him approaching just as she would swing the sign to close and indeed, since the last time they met his hair and eyes took on a considerable change in color and a glowing trinket hung from his belt.]
[While Jane had only likewise passively known Diluc, he always was the kind of man who drew the eye. Even more so now, with his hair and eyes that vivid red, and she can't quite help the soft gasp of surprise that punches out of her when she sees him.]
Diluc!
[But then she's over it, smiling broadly and warmly as she hurries over and gives him a quick hug. The wings folded down against her back give an excited little flutter.]
[While not an openly affectionate man, Diluc didn't react negatively to the hug. It didn't overstay its welcome and he even returned it in some fashion, albeit one-armed. Partially due to the wings. He knew enough about birds to know wings were fragile but he still regarded them with concern and scrutiny.]
I've been well enough. Some things have changed, as you can see. But I see they've changed for you as well. [He's heard some shit, Ma'am, are you good...]
[Given it has been a long time and from what she recalls of his preferences in affection she does keep it brief, but she's clearly overjoyed to see him now that he's in front of her. Part of the brevity was, of course... what he immediately and so subtly points out in the following moments.
She clears her throat.]
Yes, those...
[They ruffle slightly again.]
Ah-- come in. I'll lock up and make us both a drink. There's a room in the back with some relatively comfortable seats, unless you'd prefer a reading nook.
[He chuckled lightly at the tease, at least, following her inside. Her shop seemed to be coming along well which was a relief. Not that said relief would last very long.]
Tea will be fine, thank you. [Once they've had the chance to sit, Diluc got straight to the point.]
I'd like to hear what's been happening from your perspective.
From my perspective? Are you sure? That might cause more panic than is necessary.
[That's really a little jab at herself, when the soft sigh that follows makes it clear enough that she's going to tell him what he wants to know anyway. Jane curls both of her hands around her tea and looks down at the cup, shaking her head.]
The first thing that happened was my husband's appearance changed overnight. He tried to hide it from me so I wouldn't worry... but he didn't know that the Libra app had appeared for me too. It didn't really take long after that for things to start getting really strange.
[She gives him a run-down, as best she can, of her perspective of the events that had occurred since then. The portals into hell, the strange tree, the month of absolute darkness that even those not connected to the app couldn't ignore... And then the trip into the Duat.]
-- So we were all dead, of course, once we got down there.
[And she pauses there to sip her tea, as if this is a completely normal thing to say.]
