[She thinks it's very sweet that he would ask every time, but if she hadn't told him now she would soon have told him in the future that he didn't need to do that. Though where she comes from it might have been expected, if they even kissed at all.

[ Don't call him out like this, Jane! His face lights up even more when she mentions it and he goes suddenly quiet. It's as if he's trying to find the right words to respond to her with. Usually, when someone teases him, he returns it. And he doesn't feel inclined to do so yet. He huffs out a sigh and shakes his head. ]
