[Jane's turn to fluster, though not because of anything Hypnos said and rather because of her own sudden evaluation of just what she'd been saying to him. How had she managed to be so--?

[ He was going to sincerely try but he doubted he'd do it right, right away. It was hard to imagine him doing it successfully right away. It's not that he's shy or doesn't want to kiss Jane... well, basically all the time, it's that his confidence in everything is gradually getting better.
And with that, he thinks he'll be more confident with her, too. ]
And I'm glad - I mean that you want to. Or like -- me to.
[ He sounds unusually awkward. ]

[She thinks it's very sweet that he would ask every time, but if she hadn't told him now she would soon have told him in the future that he didn't need to do that. Though where she comes from it might have been expected, if they even kissed at all.
Ah, what a freeing thing it is to be away from such a stuffy time period! Why was she worrying about it?]
You know... [And there's something in the tone of her voice that should warn him another tease is coming.] I don't think I've ever seen you blush quite so much.
[ Don't call him out like this, Jane! His face lights up even more when she mentions it and he goes suddenly quiet. It's as if he's trying to find the right words to respond to her with. Usually, when someone teases him, he returns it. And he doesn't feel inclined to do so yet. He huffs out a sigh and shakes his head. ]
