[Mukuro was used to Japanese hot springs, so aside from the towel on her head, she wasn't exactly wearing anything. And that revealed its fair share of secrets on it's own- most noticeably, the enchanted tattoos on her body. Little fireflies that danced across her torso and upper arms, and some death's-head hawkmoths on her thighs, resting on a faint network of barbed wire.
...And each little insect seemed to be covering a scar.
Numerous ones, perhaps caused by a spear or blade, each with its own matching one on the opposite side of her body. As if she'd been run through.
The final tattoo- this one older, not enchanted like the rest- was on the back of her right hand. An image of a wolf.]

[Jane's sudden concern was unexpected, and Mukuro's cheeks flushed. She did notice the stings on her ankles, though.]
...Yeah. Got on the wrong side of a swarm of bees. Looks like you ran into trouble too?
[She had just dipped her feet into the water, but she lifts one out to grimace at the reddened stings on her skin.]
Nettles. I wasn't looking where I was going.
[Hazards of wearing a skirt... and long socks really didn't do anything to keep the nasty little barbs from getting through. If anything, they might have made it worse. She grimaces as she puts her foot back under the water.]
Though I do think I'd prefer nettles over bees. What ever were you doing?
[She'd certainly encountered plants like that in her time.]
...Weapons tests. I had a pistol upgraded to function by using my magic as ammunition, but augmenting it with animal magic just made it shoot bees. Literal, swarming, angry bees.
[She is glad it wasn't something more serious, and as she looks down at the ripples spreading away from her legs there might be some evidence of her hiding a smile.]
I'm sure if I were to be shot out of a gun I would be very angry as well.
[Jane is... saddened by that, but not surprised. She's met some very young soldiers over the past year, and many of them took great offence at even the slightest implication that they might be treated like the children they were.
Not an argument she intends to have again.]
I suppose it must be difficult to relax after something like that. Maybe you'd like to come for a walk with me some time.
I really should move further out of the city. The inn's fine and all, but...
Yeah, you'll definitely find combat boots with a good grip helpful. Some trousers with thicker fabric'll serve you well against thorns- and nettles- in more overgrown areas.

I've been able to move into a small house with a new friend. It's quite lovely.
[The inn was fine... but it didn't offer much in the way of personal space. A bed and a shower were good enough in the short term but one quickly began to yearn for more.]
Do tell me if I'm imposing, but do you think you might help me find something suitable? Another time, perhaps, when we aren't both suffering from the consequences of our actions.
[Ah, but the water does feel good on that itchy nettle rash. It's soothed almost enough that she's able to forget about it. She taps her toes lightly, breaking the surface of the water and making little splashes.]
It's surprising how empty this place is, don't you think?
